The Malta Start-Up Residence Programme Launched
The Residency Malta Agency has today launched the Start-Up Residence Programme at the Malta Start-Up Festival.
Over the last few years, the Maltese Government has adopted an open and favourable approach towards new businesses, and this has resulted in attracting innovative start-ups to be set up in Malta. The Malta Start-up Residency Programme is an important step towards increasing Malta’s competitiveness in this area.
Malta Start-Up Residence Programme Benefits
This programme is aimed at Non-EU Nationals who are founders, co-founders, employees and family members of start-ups. It grants these beneficiaries, long-term business and family stability whilst running their start-up.
The programme grants a 3-year Maltese residence permit, extendable for an additional 5-year period, during which the applicants are able to reside in Malta whilst setting up and running their new venture. Applicants under this programme, must have a tangible presence in Malta including residing on the island and paying taxes in Malta.
The Malta Start Up Residence Programme will be administered by Malta Enterprise and the Residency Malta Agency. Our immigration firm is registered as a Licensed Agent with Residency Malta Agency and holds licence number AKM-ACCA-22.
